Co-polyester TPC-ET Vacuum brake tubes need a high performance thermoplastic to replace the reinforced rubber. It needs a wide temperature performance from -50 ° C to 150 ° C, chemical resistance, pressure resistance of 60 bar minimum and bending strength at 50 N minimum, it has to resist vacuum collapse after 2 hours 150 ° C and provide impact retention after 336 h at 150 ° C. Thanks to our TPC-ET, the design can be changed using a smaller diameter, and consequently a thinner wall to simplify and allow quick connections. The thermoplastic polyester is 30% lighter and less expensive than the rubber part and eliminates the supports. | ||
